Welcome to the website of the International Summer School of Experimental Surgery and the Winter Workshop of Visceral Surgery!
These courses, regularly held under the auspices of the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen, Charles University, Czech Republic, are aimed towards medical students (SSES) and medical residents (WWVS).
SSES and WWVS offer a chance to learn and practice essential surgical skills and procedures on experimental animal models by means of intensive hands-on training. You will also learn about important theoretical issues in experimental surgery, anesthesia, radiology, and many more related disciplines. The courses are organized by an experienced team of experimental surgery in a top-class experimental surgical facility – come and see for yourself!
